RESEARCH LABORATORY OF SMART GRIDS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY
(LARINA – LR16ES08)

LARINA (Laboratoire des Réseaux Intelligents et Nanotechnologie ) was founded in 2016. The main goal of the research lab is to develop solutions in the field of smart cities and mainly in smart energy management.

The multidisciplinary research team of LARINA covers diverse fields of expertise.  LaRINA’ activities are seeking to explore, acquire and implement innovative technologies and techniques to optimize industrial processes, promote sustainable and fair management of energy and water services. Moreover, recent advances in numerical modeling of Internet of Things (IoT) have created new topics of interest for our team which include the following: digitization of the energy and water systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and numerical modeling for smart cities and adaptive algorithms for home automation.

ENSTAB/LaRINA is member of the “Mediterranean Network of Engineering Schools” (RMEI) and the UNEVOC/UNESCO networks. Different cooperation agreements have already been signed with industrials, universities and NGOs operating in the energy and water management and industrial digitization. LARINA is well-equipped with appropriate testing and measurement equipment and softwares.
